Hampton Court Palace

Yesterday we went to Hampton Court Palace. We drove there and it took two hours. The first thing we did was do a kids audio tour of King Henry the VIII's apartments. The lady speaking told you that you were King Henry and she was going to give you a tour of your apartment. At the end you die.

Next we saw a play with some people preparing 'Hamlet' for the King and Queen. When they were half way through the play the King and Queen come and ask to see the play when the actors hardly know their lines or what they have to do.

We had our picnic lunch then went to the 'magic garden' which is like a kids' paradise. It had an aerial walkway and a giant slide for getting down, towers for  climbing, a magical forest at the back, a ball shaped tree house, a water play station, a sandpit, tents and a dragon that breaths fire (actually water). We got ice cream then walked to the hedge maze, the oldest in the world! We got lost a million times and never found the middle. Finally we went on an audio tour of the kitchens and bought feather pens.

  1. Nana and I were just talking yesterday about hoping for some more posts. She and Packa are leaving Wagga today on their way to see you. Not much news from me other than that I'm sewing like a madwoman for the exhibition that opens in just 9 days now!
