Mansions, Weddings, cycling through a thunder storm

Sorry I haven't been keeping up but we have been doing so much! On Saturday we went to three quarters of a mansion owned by our friends. We cycled along the river to get there. When we got there we played in their park-sized backyard with three cubbies, one treehouse, a trampoline, a swing set and a zip wire. Inside there were lots of floors, an indoor swimming pool and I counted ten ginormous rooms on the bottom floor. We went for a swim then had pancakes for lunch. We went for a beautiful walk in what looked like the countryside but was Oxford University park and then cycled home.

The next day we went to a wedding. We had to drive to London to get there. We got home at about eleven o'clock at night but mum had packed pillows and pajamas so we slept all the way home.

The next day we were so tired so we stayed at home but went for a bike ride to get some medicine for mum in the evening. When we were about one quarter of the way there it sarted to rain but it wasn't that heavy so we kept going. After a couple of minutes it got really heavy. We were almost there so we kept going. We got there and had to walk the rest of the way. The way back was worse because it was a thunder storm! We got home had dinner and went straight to bed.

  1. What an exciting time you are all having. Is that Juliet riding a bike to your friend's house?
Your friend must have an amazing house. If you lived there you could have one cubby each!
I hope the medicine fixed Mum.
I'm counting down the days till I see you. Just 6 more sleeps. Wa-hoo!

  3. I love the narrowboats on the water in the first pic. Did Mum tell you I once had a week's holiday on one of those boats on a canal in Ireland? They're quite hard to steer as you have to turn the rudder the opposite way to the direction you want to go. I was so bad at it I once had the boat turned sideways in the canal. I was banned from steering after that!

    1. Yes, steering was not your strong suit. I remember you once managed to get the car across the driveway in Lake Albert Road as well.
