Jet Lagged in Gaol

We arrived in Oxford at about five pm and went straight inside to bed. The next day we woke up at two am and then walked to the park which is about ten seconds away. After a play at the world's best playground, (even Dad had a go on the flying fox) we had croissants at a French place and then visited a library called Oxford central library. We walked to Oxford Castle where you got a tour of the castle with a guy  pretending to be a prisoner who was holding a gun and it was actually quite scary. We had to climb 202 stairs to get up and down the tower stopping at prison cells and other rooms until finally we got to the top and saw some amazing views. We climbed a huge hill to the top and then had a three course Italian meal. For the first course we had dough balls with garlic butter and salad, for main course we had pizza and pasta and for dessert we had fudge cake and ice cream sundaes. For dinner Kate  made a delicious dinner of pesto with potatoes, beans and olives.

  1. Olivia, there ate so many bell towers in England! Maybe you can learn to ring while you're there!

  8. Wonderful story girls; the sundae looked very yummy. Olivia, I actually bought a bird book while on the road to try and identify the ones we were seeing.
