We started on the metro then there was the very long bus ride. Eventually we arrived at ocean park but there were huge queues outside! Luckily Jason had bought tickets online so we got to skip the queue.
Our first thing to do was the grand aquarium. The largest in the world! We had hot dogs for lunch and then went to a sponge bob themed water party. There was a foam pit, a water park, a place where you could be inside a bubble, a laser maze and much, much more.
After almost hours of fun we had a ride on the under sea merry go round then saw some spectacular views on the cable car to the other half of the park, the summit.
Next we all headed for the whiskers theatre to see the marine life show, ocean wonders. After a cool drink, Kate and Juliet went to look at rides while everyone else went on the ocean park tower, which rotates around a pole for more amazing views of Hong Kong. We then went on a scary ride called the whirly bird with chairs that go almost right up in the sky and spin around really fast.
Finally we got back on the cable car and went back to the first half of the park for some less scarier rides including another merry go round, a jumping castle, a mini Ferris wheel and much more.
After a long, really fun day it was time to go. Once we got home, Kate, Juliet and I stayed home while Jason and Phoebe went shopping for dinner. We had fried rice, noodles, meat and soup.
PS. The winner of the quiz is Jio Yim. She guessed ocean park. Can you spot the clue that gave it away?
The grand aquarium
and so you didn't have to have a bath last night after being in the foam pit?????
ReplyDeleteyes and you also had to have a shower to wash the foam off
ReplyDeleteIt all looks amazing and great fun. Grandma and I flew to Darwin yesterday. Our hotel is very nice, being situated on the harbour front next door to a huge wave pool with real waves like at the beach. You cannot swim in the ocean up here because of stingers and salt water crocodiles. Last night we ate at a restaurant across the way and noticed kiddies rushing off towards the water's edge. Walking home we saw why; there was a huge movie screen down on the edge of the water showing free movies.
ReplyDeleteKeep the stories flowing.
Love Grandma and Grandpa.
Of course we will Grandpa. We won't stop writing the blog. Love Phoebe

ReplyDeleteWow! Ocean Park definitely sounds like the best day ever. The clue was the ginormous hint of the screen shot of ocean park. How do you do a screen shot, I need to do one? Xx
ReplyDeleteYou press the turn off button and the home button at the same time
