Camping in the Desert

Today we visited my OTHER cousins in a city outside of Cairo. We had lunch with them then we went to see the building of the new Suez Canal.

But the line to get back across was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
long!

So we waited an hour and a half for our turn and all the adults were so stressed but all the kids loved it! We lived on chips and fanta because we had nothing else to eat.

The drive back to Cairo was 3 hours away so we we were all sleeping in the car.

That's only half the queue for the boat

That's my cousin Amina playing with a chick at my cousins' house.

This is us going across the FIRST time.

This is our very traditional lunch.

  1. So much food, Olivia. I won't recognise you when you get back. Those cousins of yours certainly know how to put on a spread!

  2. The food does look delicious! As it did in Venice, Milan & Paris. What a holiday of yummy eating, except for fanta and chips eeeewwwww
I'm glad you kids found being stuck in traffic so fun!

    1. Kids were excited they were having fanta and chips for dinner (except Juliet who announced after a whole packed that her new name was 'chipsick'). Jason was excited that he bought chips and fanta for everyone in the middle of the desert for less than 10 AUD. love Kate
