When we came home and Mohsen's cousins came and we had dinner. Then Shireen, Jason, our cousins, my aunt, Mohsen's cousins and I went to the Nile at night. Phoebe and Juliet stayed with Kate and Carmel because they were sick.
We had drinks then we went home and played with "bomb" the Arabic word for fireworks. You throw it at the ground as hard as you can and it explodes! We also had firecrackers.
So sorry to hear that Phoebe and Juliet are sick. I hope they'll be better soon. It's no fun being sick on holidays.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were children "bombs" used to be called "throw downs". They are good fun.
Where was the lion?
On the bridge crossing the Nile. It was very tall. Dad had to give me a boost up to it but I could almost reach it.
DeleteWhen did you go?What time did you go?So thats why you told me about the ''bombs''.
ReplyDeleteWe went in the morning but I'm not sure what time
DeleteWe went to the Nile at night. It was still very hot and it was after 9 pm.
DeleteI'm ALMOST thinking you should stay there. What are we going to do without these fabulous updates from the other side of the world? I do hope Phoebe & Juliet are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteYou made me remember I have a packet of "bombs" in my glovebox. I use to have them to scare pigeons off my balcony! I don't have pigeons any more so I probably should get rid of them.
By the way your fired from A.A.Sfor throwing firecrackers at pigioens. I love them after my experience with them in Venice!
DeleteI already quit (you thought I was Jio!!!!) And I didn't throw them at them. I threw them on the ground to make a noise to scare them away.
ReplyDeleteHope Phoebes and Juliet feel better soon. That's a great pic of you in front of the lion statue and I love the market pics.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Olivia; make sure you look after Phoebe and Juliet.
ReplyDeleteI hope the girls are better now? Looks like you've been having some fun Livy. Xx
