" Tour Eiffel"

Today we visited "tour Eiffel" or the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing and there was a huge tennis ball hanging from it representing the French open. You could also watch it live on screen sitting outside on the grass opposite the tower.

Then we went to the Jardin du Luxembourg, a beautiful garden. It had beautiful grass but you weren't allowed to sit on it. Finally we found a nice green patch of grass where you could sit down but it was so crowded with people and smoke from cigarettes.

Here is the sign that says you are allowed to sit on the grass.

Here is the beautiful Palace and the grass you are not allowed to sit on. There is much more grass with no monuments but you are still not allowed to sit on it.

  2. They certainly seem to have a thing about their grass in Paris, don't they?

  4. The view from the Eiffel Tower is certainly special; we had the pleasure of having dinner at the restaurant on the first level, I think. Jason, I am sorry to hear about your lecture; being first is almost as bad as being last one in the evening, when only two people are awake.
